does anyone know how much dr osvaldo anez by-passes

Tanya - I researched and interviewed several surgeons. My choices were narrowed down to Drs. Anez and Roll. Both, in my opinion, were great! My schedule better fit Dr Roll's schedule... so, I went with Roll ( I have been extremely happy with him!!) I do feel that I would have been just as happy with Dr Anez. He comes very highly recommended by other doctors in this area and I have run across many, many people in my community that have gone through his program successfully. Best of luck to you. hello tanya, at my initial consult he told me he bypasses 100cm, my surgery date is dec. 3rd. i asked him if he could bypass more.. like 130cm , and he said because of my starting weight it would be no problem. i guess it just varies from patient to patient. best thing you can do is talk to him.

Hi, I had surgery with doctor Anez. Previous poster is correct, he bypasses 100cm. He is an excellent surgeon! My scar is very small and flat. I've had no complications yet. (2/12/03-8 months out-305/176/155) Good luck!

Just to confirm, he told me that he normally does 100, but for larger patients (like yours truly) he can go to 130. I assume that's what I had done, but I haven't verified it. I should do that. I'd like to know for sure. One thing I like about Dr. Anez is that he makes a very, very small scar for an open surgery. Mine is just a little over three inches. My only reservation is I wish the he transected the pouch from the old stomach, but he doesn't do that.
