This is a good loss, esp. if you started with a BMI of 39 (lightweight). I
am a year and a half and have only just now met my goal of 100lbs off.
Keep the faith.

I also have only lost approx. 70lbs in about 8 months. I started at 224 and
now weigh 152. However, I was a size 20-22 (in elastic waist pants) but now
I'm a size 10, any brand, regular ol' zip-up-the front jeans!

RNY proximal? What has been your food & supplement regimen? Which
things do you avoid or make a point of eating? Drinking way more water
than you want?

I'm 8 mos out and have lost 83 lbs but am only 27 lbs from my goal. this
seems to be the norm. from what I've read from others. the "light
weight" thing.

I'm not doing a lot better. But stop obsessing over the scale. How do you
feel? Are you off some of your meds because of your weight loss? Have you
changed clothes size? Can you now tie your shoes or get behind a steering
wheel without it being uncomfortable? Keep these things in mind. A scale
is just a number. Sure it would be good to lose 150 pounds in 8 mos, but
it just isn't going to be that way for everybody (like us). So just hang
in there. Where would you have been if you hadn't had the surgery?

many things determine the loss, how much you eat, protein, water intake,
exercise, and starting weight, genitics, could you of lost almost 10 pounds
a month pre op? i could not of, but i understand your frustration!
spiecally when i see others doing so much more than myself.

Congratulations on your success!! I'm 7.5 mos. out and have lost 80 lbs
also. I started at 262 and am now 182. I'd love to be at 155 one day so
my journey continues. Your profile doesn't mention your beginning weight
but it seems you're probably right on track. One day at a time, one step
at a time and best of luck as you continue your journey.

I don't rememnber how far out I was when I lost 80 lbs. It all depends on
how much you have to lose. Everyone hits plateaus at different times. DOn't
worry you will get there. I have lost any weight since about febuary how
ever I havelost inches.
