Question:
Has anybody dropped weight during their period? Is this normal after surgery?

Yes, but I'm not sure if its normal or not. During my first 6 months I lost
gradually all the time. Now I only lose weight a few days before, during,
and a few days after my period. Kind of sucks. I'm not sure why I do that.
But as long as it still comes off right? Good luck to you sweetie!! Lap Rny

I think a lot of that depends on your body. I have seen posts where people
say that they don't lose anything before, during, or right after their
period, and others that only lose during that time of the month. Like the
previous poster said though...at least your losing!

I only lose the week of my period, the other 3 weeks I plateau - like
clockwork! Best regards-

I dunno. I haven't had my period since my lap in 8/8/03. The doctor says
sometimes this happens with women. I'm not worried. I know Flo Jo will
reappear when I least expect it to.

How weird! I was just thinking about this this morning. I weighed two
nights ago and weighed 197. Granted it was at night and right before my
period. This morning I got on the scale out of curiosity..I weighed 193.
So, I don't know about normal, but it looks like it does happen.

I seem to plateau for 3 weeks out of the month and then lose only the week
of my period. It is weird. I am only 11 weeks postop and down 55 lbs.

Before WLS I always gained weight - now 2/12 months post op down 48.5lbs I
lose weight even during. It seems really weird to not gain before or
during but it sounds like that is just the way it is for me for now.
