Question:
I am almost 7 1/2 months post op and have lost 95lbs so far. I only have 15lbs
to get to my goal and I just can't seem to shift the weight. I have hit a serious plateau and this has been for about 3 weeks now. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the weight loss moving again? I do exercise about 2-3 times a week as well. Please help!!!! — Philippa F. (posted on September 2, 2003)

Might not be what you want to hear but at only 7 1/2 mo post-op and within
15 pounds of goal, I would not worry about it. The plateau will eventually
move on and the loss will continue. Keep in mind that you have another 10
months to your window of opportunity, and even if you just lost 2 pounds a
month, would still get to goal!

Make sure that you stick to the food plan and excersize. 95lbs is great. I
agree with Cindy, if you stay on top of it, once your body plays
"catch up" and adjusts to the lower weight, more should come off.

Congrats on the 95 lbs and only being 15 lbs from goal!! Awesome job!
Like the others said let your body have a little rest as it's worked pretty
darn hard up til now. You may find that you will need to increase you
exercise to get the last weight off. Maybe even just one more day a week
will be enough. I'm sure you will get there and sooner than you think.

PROTEIN, PROTEIN, PROTEIN!!!!! I have lost 5 lbs in the past week after
being on a horrible plateau for the last month. The more protein you eat,
the more weight you will lose and the faster you will lose it. Here is
what I eat 5 times a day at each meal: cottage cheese, boiled egg, and
some type of meat (hamburger, turkey burger, tuna ect. This will
definately work!!! Hugs
