Question:
5 weeks post op and hearing wonderful compliments

I'm so pleased with what WLS has done for me (thank you God). I am 5 weeks post op. Not only am I losing weight, I've been told I look healthier than ever! Countless people are telling me that I am "glowing" which feels soooo good to hear. My question is this... has anyone else had this type of compliments this early on?    — Happy I. I am out four weeks today and have dropped 54 lbs. Yes I get told wonderful things just like you. I am so amazed. This sugery has made my self esteeme go through the roof!

Lisa, this is just the start. Enjoy it! Its so nice to receive compliments instead of the eye avoidance that being obese seems to attract.

OH YES!!! they are wonderful. I'm almost 2 years out, and I'm still getting them. Wait until your 6 months and a year out, and you see people who haven't seen you in that span of time at all..It is such a trip to watch these people's astonishment when they realize it's you because they didn't recognize you at all. I think it's hilarious that people (you already know, but haven't seen in long time) are so polite to you because they don't know who you are and think they're meeting you for the first time, LOL..Congratulations to you, and enjoy the compliments!!! <font color="007000" face="tahoma">I will be 7 weeks this week. Last night I went out with family I have not seen since I was 1 week post-op. I received many compliments from them! In fact, I was starting to get embarassed! Its nice to get compliments, but I just dont know what to say when people keep giving them! <br>Congrats on your weight loss!! and Good Luck with your Journey!~~
