Question:
Has anyone had problems losing weight after hysterectomy?
I am 8 months out from WLS, 32 years old, and down 110 pounds. I still have 17 to go to my goal weight. I am having a complete hysterectomy next week, and would like to know if I will have problems losing the rest of the weight with the HRT. Any suggestions or information would be appreciated! — Denise V. (posted on June 4, 2003)

I would research HRT thoroughly before you opt for it. I have several
friends + my mom that have discontinued HRT due to the recent research
stating that it could cause dementia. My mom's memory has improved a lot
and my other friends cravings and overeating has ceased almost completely.
Please read up on HRT, it could save your mind!

I would check about HRT before Taking anything. I had a hysterectomy
recently before my WLS and started on HRT and had all sorts of problems
with the hormones, discontinued them and I feel great now. I have a friend
who had a hys. about 7 months out after WLS and she is still losing
weight. Rest asure, you will have no problems....Cinde
