Question:
Anyone seen this exclusion on an Humana One Individual Policy.
Exclusion: Treatment of Obesity unless qualified as morbid obesity. — Tonya D. (posted on May 28, 2003)

Although I do not have Humana One....my policy basically said the same
thing. Basically what they told me unless I was considered Morbidly Obese
they wouldn't pay. I believe any thing over a 40 BMI is considered Morbid
Obese. I'm considered a light weight. I was just at 40 and only needed to
lose 100 pounds so it could have gone either way. I was approve within
about a week. After I had a cardio clearance and Pshyc evaluation....had
my initial consult the Tuesday befor Thanksgiving last year and had surgery
on March 10 this year. Basically less then 4 months from start to
finish....
