Question:
Do they ever end???!
5 days out of 7 I am either nauseous or vomitting. I eat SMALL portions, tiny bites, chew, chew, chew, no liquids, etc... but still the nausea is always lurking around the corner. Sometimes even the site or smell or food make me nauseous. Anyone have any ideas?! — Loralynn W. (posted on May 26, 2003)

Loralynn, have you called your doc? You didn't mention how far post-op you
were, but unfortunately some people get nauseaus and vomit the first few
months post-op. Sometimes it's just the body adjusting to the new changes
and everything. And sometimes it could be something else, like a stricture.
But check with your doc to make sure everything is all right. Goodluck to
you :-)

I was in the same boat fresh out of surgery. Nauseous all the time.
Morning. Noon, and night. I called the doctor and he gave me a pill to take
that helped with it. After about a month, I had no more problems. Best of
luck, it is not fun. Hope you get some help. Hugs!

<font color="007000" face="tahoma">A very good
friend of mine, who is an RN, told me about a wonderful little trick for
nausea... Wave a bit of rubbing alcohol (either on a cotton ball or the
wipes like they have in hospitals) under your nose...A few deep breaths and
the nausea was gone. Good Luck! </font>
