Question:
Is there any relationship between low Vit B12 and slow weight loss?
I think over all I am a "slow loser" compared to some of the posters. However, I am happy with the weight loss non the less. I am 5'4 and starting weight was 331 and I am down to the 260's somewhere. Back to my question by Vitamin B12 level is 270's and I was wondering if there was a relationship between lose and the Vitimin B12 level? Yes, I have just started to take B12 vitamins will I have more engery once the level is up? I dothink that i have alot of engery as a whole now but more engerywill always be welcomed. — train (posted on April 27, 2003)

Cheryl, there very well could be a correlation, but I have never heard of
that before. I have very low B12 as well, but as a lightweight I lost
pretty quickly. I was 250 and got to my goal weight of 130 in less than 11
months, so it really hasn't hindered me. You will gain more energy, and
B12 can help- just make sure its in the right form- sublingual or
injections are really the key. A few different doctors have told me that we
really don't absorb B12 pills. Goodluck to you!
