Question:
I need help with insurance, keep getting turned down at underwriting.

Hi there! I have Blue Cross Blue Shield Preferred of Arizona, PPO, and they really didn't cause me TOO much pain with approval! Feel free to read my profile to see the details of what they wanted from me. My profile makes me sound frustrated at times (and I was), but I received my approval yesterday and all in all they were really quite easy to deal with. Good luck!

Misty, if you are in or near a big town that has larger employers your best bet might be to find an employer who offers quality insurance that way you can't be singled out and denied coverage. I've had the same troubles as you. Never did find insurance and to make things worse I don't have any major employers near me who carry insurance quality enough to cover WLS. Other than that, perhaps you might qualify for state medical? I've heard that most states will cover it if you can prove medical necessity. I wish you luck and hopefully someone from your state will pipe in with other good ideas for you.
