Seeking Surgeon In NYC Area who Will Operate on Hep-C Patients

Are there any doc's in the NYC area that will do wls on a patient with hep-c? My mother was denied surgery by her surgeon because she is diagnosed with hep-c. At first they said no problem and then they flat out denied her without a liver biopsy or a liver functions test. She was more than willing to do testing and accept the doctors decision, however now they wont even consider it...any suggestions or doctors in the nyc area that anyone knows of?    — Dana S.
