Question:
Still having abd pain 8 wks po?

I started with severe nausea about 2-3 wks ago and some abd discomfort. This week I still have the nausea, but I'm have serious pain at my inciscional site? It is almost as bad as hen I first came home from the hospital. I've been started on Cafergot 4 times a day before meals, and Prilosec 2 times a day. The nausea isn't as bad, but the pain is still there. Has anyone had this before, how long will it last, and what will relieve the pain?    — Marie B. (posted on February 11, 2003)

From everything I read, what you are experiencing is unusual. Call your surgeon and insist on an appointment -- make sure that he fits you in tomorrow, if you haven't gone to see him yet.
