Do you stop between bites?

I try to stop between eating bites of food. I try to mentally tell myself that i don't eat or eat too fast because i love food, but eat slow only when i'm hungry. And by stoppinf between bites and eating slow, your brain has time to catch up and to know when your full. I read that it takes 5 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain to stop eating, it's full. So stopping between bites is not going to hurt. Just remember to enjoy your food, it slow and savor it! :) Good luck to you! post op 7mos, -102lbs around 160

I used to all the time. I'm now 8 months post-op, down 104lbs. and don't stop between bites anymore. But I measure my food neurotically, and I rarely fill my stuff up to where it hurts, that is usually when I am out and cannot measure anything. I usually fill a slight full feeling in my tummy, or not at all. I'm sure it's better to wait a minute or so b4 each bite, but I have lost track of that. But as long as u know how much you're eating and not to get too full, I think you're fine!
