Question:
How long did it take for your psych to write & send the evaluation?
Its been a couple of weeks and mine still hasn't finished...is this normal? — Amy W. (posted on January 6, 2003)

Luckily my doc and the psychologist were located in the same bldg, my
results were done within a couple of days.

My psych wrote the eval in the hour and a half session I had - she was
writing as she was talking to me. She let me read it for any errors or
additional comments, and faxed it the same day! I was so lucky to have
someone well versed in bariatric surgery.

Mine was done and sent within a few days even though I had to take the MMPI
twice. But I think 2 weeks is normal. Good luck and BB!

I called the surgeon's office a few days after my eval. They had not
gotten the results so I called the psych's office. They needed my
signature to release it and were just holding it. Once I faxed them an ok
to release they sent it on.

CALL THE OFFICE! I was told it would take one week well after a week it
wasn't done and I just had to stay on it. I can't remember but I think it
took closer to 3 weeks than 2. Best wishes:)!!!

My first psych was taking forever, which was annoying since I was on a
deadline for approval. However, this ended up being great because she
ended up not approving me and I had to tell her in no uncertain terms NOT
to send her report on, and then zip to another psych ASAP. My point...make
sure you're going to "pass" at least, during the whole waiting
game...we deserve to know at least that much, don't you think?

My eval took about 3 weeks. They told me it could take up to 4 as they
mailed it off to be graded. But luckily it was closer to 3.
