Why is it so difficult to figure out how to continually post to your profile?

Click on "Your Profile" listed w/the other links listed at the
top of the page. Then enter your First Name, Last Name, and Password.
Once you're logged in, scroll down on this page until you see the link to
"General Information". Click on this and scroll down a bit and
you'll see the "Comments" box which allows you to type in any
updates.

Hi! Go to the top of this page and click on "Your Profile" .
Enter your name and password, and then click where it says "Click here
to Update your profile". Then, in the box where you have already
typed some personal comments, scroll down to the end of your existing
comments and begin typing. If you want to make it easy to read, skip a
line and then start each new entry by typing in the date. Good Luck!

Hi, what exactly are you having problems with? Finding the screen to update
it or entering the updates themselves?
To get to the screen to update, click on Your Profile at the top of the
screen (it is a blue hotlink), enter your name and password, click
"Click Here to Update Your Information". Once you are in scroll
down and on the left column there is a link for "General Info",
click that and it takes you to the screen where you can update your
profile. Scroll down to the Comments box and type in what you want to put
on your profile page. Don't delete what is already there or it will
disappear from your profile, just add the new stuff to the bottom or the
top. After you finish typing the update, click on the gray "Update My
File" button on the bottom. It will take you to another screen, click
the gray button and it takes you back to the menu for updating your
profile. You can check your profile by scrolling down and clicking
"View Your Profile" right at the top in the middle of the two
menu columns. Let us know if these helped or if you are having another kind
of problem.

It hasn't been difficult for me, but then I have been working with
computers since 1982. Just keep trying, don't give up. You can develop
ease over time with working with any system. This website really is quite
user friendly. Good Luck!

Alison has explained it perfectly for you. I just wanted to say don't feel
like the lone ranger 'cause I couldn't figure it out *at all* and also had
to ask for help. I think the problem is, after you click "Update Your
Profile", you expect to be able to...well, update your profile! But
no, you get sent to that page that is like the entire Bible written on a
grain of rice, or something, (just too much information) and if you do
click on the right thing and your info comes up, there's nothing that tells
you how to proceed - in other words, there's no hint that your old stuff
will be deleted if you don't leave it there and go to the bottom and start
typing, etc, etc. I love this site, but there is nothing easy or intuitive
about updating your profile. They need a button you can click if you are
having trouble, and it should lead you to a step-by-step answer, like
Alison's answer.
