Question:
Feels like I am permanently in PMS mode...Anybody else?
I had Lap RNY in July and have not had my period the last two months. I feel like I usually do prior to getting my period-extreme PMS every day. So when will things calm down with my hormones and how many months did you folks go without experiencing your menses? As of today I am down 80# and 53"....Thanks for the input! Heather — Heather N. Wow, I can totally relate. In fact, I'm having trouble with my
relationship because of it. He was with me all through this surgery and he
does really try to understand everything, but I am way meaner than I have
ever been. I do suffer from depression and I'm medicated for that, but I
don't get mean with a bout of depression - I get weapy and hopeless...I do
think that there is a lot of hormonal "goings on" with the weight
loss and the fact that you haven't had your period leads me to believe that
it's happening in your case - lots of loose estrogen running around....I
have lost my period before when I dieted to extreme and lost weight
quickly. I have not lost it since the surgery, but it's been irregular and
the PMS is crazy.
I wish you the best and I will say a prayer for both of us. Maybe we can
get this in check somehow. (I had my surgery June 18, 2002 by the way)
Best of everything!

I have been very weepy also very grouchy. One of my dear friends mentioned
to me that I have lost my best friend (food) and that would make any one
weepy aand grouchy. I think she may have a point. I guess we need to mourn
the loss and get on with it and find some new friend (hobbies, crafts,
etc.} Blessings, Gerry
