J...I started eating protein bars around 6wks post-op. I love the ZONE
bars. They taste like candy to me.

I think I started them around 5-6 weeks. I couldn't eat an entire bar at
once. I would eat 1/2 for breakfast and the other 1/2 in the afternoon. I
have found that I like the Atkins bars the best.

hehe I think six months is too early for a protein bar, but then I can't
stand them! <cheeky-grin>. As for really answering your question,
what's the diet your doc has you on? If your on full liquids then it's too
soon...otherwise, chomp away :>)

My surgeon started me on the Metrx Protein Plus bars at 2 weeks post-op. I
could only eat 1/3-1/2 a bar at first.
They come in several flavors and really "melt in your mouth".

Hi there. My doctor started me on solid foods at week two. I bought a
couple of protein bars at that time but of course I could only take about 2
bites. I can now (at week 5) eat a half a bar and I'm quite full. To me
they do not have a good taste but its nice getting the protein in. I also
bought a bag of the cheese bites and I grab one of those if I get the
munchies.
