Question:
Has anyone been approved for the LAGB in Tennessee using Cigna PPO?

I finally found an in network Dr. in Tennessee that takes Cigna PPO. Because he is in network my out-of-pocket expenses should be less. Has anyone been approved for this procedure? I happen to work for Cigna HealthCare on the ppo side of business. First and foremost, we require a predetermination. That consists of your medical history, weight loss history, all diets tried and failed, a complete listing of all co-morbities with treatments tried and failed. This information needs to be faxed in to a representative at Cigna, that way it gets to the correct department. The number one problem that we see is that the doctors are not sending in enough information the first time around. If this is prevented, you will get your approval, and sometimes denial a lot faster. If you have any further questions, please let me know.
