Question:
Any secrets out there for hidding......

my sagging stomach. im 8mzth post op and have lost about 110lbs. I started at 315 and im still wearing the same shirts i did pre op. My stomach shows to much. Its just this big mushy thing on my stomach. I want a girdle but usually when i get one it makes my boobs look flat.Im a Dcup.. or use to be.. well i guess i still am since i still wear that size. Just the width has gone down not the cup size. My boobs sag to so i need support there to. I dont like to look flat lol. Ill do anything to keep my stomach and hips showing thru my clothes..I hope you all know what i mean. Just wish i could feel good in clothes. To top it off i just moved to Honolulu hawaii and im to scared to go to beach or just about anywheres in public. Ive heard of people using duck tape????? Hows that done. Ill do anything. I thought all this would go with the weight. But i still feel like people stair at me. TT is probly not gon to be an option for me. AT least not for a long long time. Sorry for weining(CS)Im happy about losing weight and feeling better. Just wish i looked good in clothes to.    — Deanna B. (posted on November 13, 2002)

My stomach is the same. I was 231 preop. I am now 148. Lost 82 lbs and 23 more to go. I am now in a size 12 but if it werent for the big flab of fat that hangs on my stomach, I could probably be in a size 6. That is why most bypass patients go for a tummy tuck approx 1-2 years out. I'm definately going for one. The insurance usually pays it too cause the "apron" is the term used for the flab, can sometimes cause hernias if left alone. I've already had one hernia, I dont want another. I never heard about the duct tape. I have flab under my arms, and my thighs look terrible. And exercise doesnt help the flab either. Talk to your surgeon about it. Good luck.

Girlfriend, you are not alone!! I've lost all this weight and don't look too bad with my clothes but take them away and look out----! I look in the mirror and still see all this hanging flab and think "where in the hell did I lose the weight?" ;) A good support bra and firm support briefs will make you feel somewhat better. Right now I'm trying to get my PCP to give me a referral to a plastic surgeon (he sent me to physical therapy instead-- what a doofus). Like physical therapy is going to help the sagging boobs, arms, thighs, and belly of a 54 year old who just lost 100 pounds! Can anyone else say DUH?!?

i was avoiding a tt like the plague, but, at 11 mos out & down 110 lbs, i am starting to research a tt. because of my flabby stomach, my body is so out of porportion that i am still having to wear the wrong size clothes. my pants r a size 12, which makes me very happy, but, if i didnt have this bowl of jello way out front, im sure i would be a size 10 or 8. at size 24 pants, i walked around with a sagging crotch & butt & at size 12, the sag remains. very frustrating!

Have you tried control top pantyhose? Just a thought. You can cut the legs off if you are wearing shorts or something.

hi there :) just wanted to let ya know that your not alone. im taller and an apple shape. have the thinner legs and arms but carried alot in my tummy area. and even though my legs and arms were always thinner they have the excess flab and wow my tummy really does. i wear jeans now alot. asomething i couldnt even fir into before but i get ticked becuase if it werent for the flab in my tummy id be able to wear probably 2 to three sizes smaller. try to find some control top undies they help a bit and so do the bras with the underwire. best of luck to you.
