Question:
Body Wraps - anyone try them? Success or not worth it?
Hi! I've searched the archives and found various information about body wraps - some feel they're great, other think a waste of money. So, thought I'd ask the question to get some more current answers! I'm about 9 months post-op, have lots of hanging skin, tummy tuck is not in my near future - surgeon likes to wait to the 18 month mark and I plan to have a baby in the future, so we're talking a few years. Anyway, was wondering if anyone has had a body wrap done recently, what was it like? Did you feel like it was a good experience? I'm just looking for something to make me feel a bit better, a bit "tighter" so to speak. I've read to that the body wraps are temporary. I'm exercising, eating right, etc. Thanks to any and all responses, you guys are the best! =) Sarah — Sarah C. (posted on November 8, 2002)

I would have to say at close to $75.00 a wrap, they are not worth the
money. The results last a maximum of three days, and mainly it just
dehydrates you even though they swear it does not dehydrate you it still
sucks out the water in your skin to tone for that brief minute in time.
Now on the second hand if you have a formal function, or something of that
sort or you are trying to fit something that you cant quite squeeze into
yet, then it works in that way too. It was definately NOT a pampering
session they wrap you and then you have to exercise, even if it's just
walking around, you cant relax and enjoy it. I would much rather spend
that kind of money on a body massage, facial, or some other type of
pampering. (my opinion only) Hugs and good luck. ~Ang~
