Question:
Other than Exercise, anything I can do for LOOSE SKIN?
My mom had this surgery and has lost over 100 lbs. She is fighting hanging skin badly. I am about to have the surgery and am kind of asking for both of us...is there anything over and above exercising that can help? — Ann H. (posted on October 23, 2002)

I think reconstructive surgery is the answer - you probably will have
better "snap back" skin than your Mom as you are younger.

Just thought I'd say that at 30 years old, losing a bit of weight my arms
are so floppy I wave at everybody twice. My mom has the same type of
"granny" arms in her 50s. I think genetics is the biggest
factor. My arms loose skin shrunk down some but twice that much would have
been sooooo much better. By the way, I was told that weight training in
the pool was the best thing for toning. Can't speak for it personally yet.

I take a protein drink with lean mass stimulators in it. So far it has
worked for me. I have lost 97.5 pounds, I am only about 10 from goal.
Size 24 to 8 and I have no sagging skin. My stomach is a little squishy
but I also had four kids and I have a lot of stretch marks from that. My
arms legs and face are fine. I feel completely comfortable wearing a
swimsuit in public. You can read more about it at www.protein-solution.com
