Question:
Where can I find instructions/recipes for this diet
My doctor has instructed me to go on to soft/pureed foods, however I have no idea what to eat or how to cook it. Is there a websit somewhere that lists food choices or recipes? — Faye M. (posted on October 1, 2002)

I have a recipe site on my profile, but it doesn't include pureed foods.
Here's some of the things I was on when I was on that diet. Applesauce,
Cottage cheese, bananas (mashed), cream of wheat (you can flavor it with
sugar-free extracts if you wish), and anything that was baby food
consistency. I was told to stay away from baby food and juices because of
the sugar content and I was also told to stay away from mashed potatoes and
such because of the high starch and carb count. You can puree just about
anything though. Put things like chicken, tuna, fruits, veggies, and such
in the food processor or blender and you can have it. Hope this helps!

When I was in this stage, I couldn't bear to Puree anything...just the
sight made me not want to eat it. So I stuck to soft foods....scrambled
eggs, ff re-fried beans (sometimes with cheese melted on top) mashed
potatoes with gravy, and baked cottage cheese with spaghetti sauce. Good
luck to you!
