Question:
Where can I find a chart showing me protein content in foods?
I'm not having much luck finding one and I have to take in a food diary to the dietician this week. — DeeDee B. (posted on September 17, 2002)

Go to www.fitday.com all you need to do is plug in the food and voila!
There is all the nutritional information. Good Luck!

I just posted this question on the message board and got two really great
responses. I couldn't figure out fitday too well...it was too confusing to
me. Here are the ones that are just listed out. Be careful to look at the
portion sizes, though, because they are all different! Hope this helps!

go to: http://teaching.ucdavis.edu/nut10/handouts/content.pdf
you will get an Adobe Acrobat page to print out that lists high protein
foods with serving sizes. It is one page and very helpful. I put it on my
refridgerator for easy reference. Also go to the section in this website
for post op diets and search for Protein, and you'll find lots of
information.
