Any food can be pureed in a blender, or cut inot pencil eraser sized bits
and chewed to death. Me? I chewed.

By 4 weeks I was on soft foods. I actually skipped the pureed
stage-couldn't handle the thought of it. But I made sure that everything
that went in my mouth was extremely soft or very well chewed. Try cottage
cheese, tunafish salad or crab salad (very well blended) on saltines(they
melt in your mouth). Try chili with melted cheese, or a cheese stick. Try
soft scrambled eggs with melted cheese and a dollop of chili on top all
melted together-yum! Try steamed white fish....

I was on liquids for 6 weeks, but that included anything that could go
through a strainer...I had alot of FF/SF pudding with extra protein from
dry milk added in it, refried beans thinned with a little water, bacon and
bean soup, in addition to most of the things previous posters mentioned.

I am now almost 7 wks post-op and still can't eat alot. I eat cheese and
yogurt alot and try some ritz crackers with peanut butter and SF jelly or
some cheese on them. I also drink Orange Juice with added protein in liquid
form you can't even taste.Just hang in there..it will get better.

Hey RiAnn:
I pureed many things in the blender especially healthy soups (high protein,
low fat). Even stew can be good. I was first post op in the winter, so I
think that made soups easier. Good Luck.
