Question:
RNY and Tubes Tied

I am hoping to have LRNY, has anyone ever had their tubes tied at the same time?    — Shanchel (posted on July 8, 2002)

I had Lap RNY but decided to wait and get my tubes tied. The reason?? If you wait and then need plastic surgery (how many people don't need it??!!), even if the insurance company won't pay for the plastic surgeon's work, they WILL pay for the anesthesia and hospital charges related to the sterilization. This cuts out a lot of excess charges that you would have to pay on your own. Something to think about.

I am still Pre-Op. I am having my surgery on the 31st of July and Dr. Singh will also be tying my tubes at the same time. Good Luck Penny:-)
