Question:
sweating profusly after eating yogert. Is this dumping?
After eating things like yogert I start sweating uncontrollably for about 10 min. Or eat puree foods I feel a bit sick to my tummy. No vomiting or anything just very hot OR sick to my belly. Is this dumping in the mild form or is it that my new pouch is just getting use to food again? Thanks. (only 3 1/2 weeks out) — sandy W. (posted on June 25, 2002)

The sweating is probably dumping. I have had a really hard time finding
yogurt that is low enough in sugar (and tastes worth a darn). The nausea
after eating food may be just your tummy complaining. I was fairly
nauseated for the first couple of months, and sometimes still am at a year
out! Your li'l tummy may be the temperamental sort. =) I have dumped MANY
times but have never yet vomited, although a couple of times I have wished
I could (including yesterday when I had a bad experience with a soup &
salad bar).

Try the Blue Bunny Lite 85 yogurt if you can find it. It is sweetened with
Splenda, not sugar and it is fat free. And it tastes wonderful - I
especially like the Key Lime and the Lemon Chiffon. I live in Texas and we
can get it at Albertson's, some Tom Thumbs and Wal Mart.

Normal, it will mostly go away eventually. Eat a bit of protein with such
foods to minimize the discomfort.

Yes, it's probably dumping. I had the same problem. I just found some
yogurt last weekend that's called 'Light and Fit creamy', and it comes in
little 4 oz cups as a pack of 4. Perfect! I can't remember the maker
though. It has fructose and an artificial sweetener. Tastes pretty good,
and I don't sweat when I eat it. Good luck!

The 'Light and Fit Creamy' is made by Dannon. I have never had a problem
dumping with that.
