power walk for 30 min and not get as tired as i do after eating! and of
course...i forgot to ask my Dr why when I was there thursday! I'll be
looking forward to reading the answers everyone has. Good luck to you

Yes, it's normal. Your body is recovering and it takes up energy to digest
your food. It'll get better.

You did not say what you are eating. If you are eating any type of carbs,
it turns into sugar therefore you could be experiencing some sort of
dumping. I've never dumped myself, but carbs pretty much puts me to sleep.
So I have stopped that and increased my proteins shakes instead.

I am 4 months postop and having the same thing happen. It happens after
almost every meal including cottage cheese. I brought it up in group and
several of the diabetics thought it sounded like a blood sugar problem. I
need to ask my doctor too. 5 minutes after I eat I feel so tired I can
hardly walk & it lasts for about 20 minutes.

Is it the same kind of tired you get after eating while still preop? I
could get really sleepy after a big meal and when you are postop, tiny
meals feel like a thanksgiving dinner. Sorry, I may be off track and this
could be a completely different sort of lack of energy.
