Question:
Is there ever a day that you DO NOT get all your protein in? How do you feel....
How do you feel the next day? I'm 7 months post op, 95% of the time I get all my protein in. But there is an occasional day that I do not. The next day, I have a dull lingering headache. Is that way, because I did not get all my protein in the day before? — Annie H. (posted on June 16, 2002)

It is my understanding that most, or at least many, headaches are caused by
dehydration. Try drinking a glass of water and see if the headache goes
away. It worked for a friend of mine (non-WLS person), so let us know if
it works for you.

I am 2 months post op and I thought that I was getting all my protien
in(50-60 grams a day) but I was tired all the time wit a headache, just
thought it was a byproduct of the surgery, then my feet and ankles started
swelling for no reason like balloons(they looked deformed). Well, I went
to my surgeon who said I wasn't getting in enough protien at all for me(I
am tall and big boned,,,need 90gr protien a day). When I increased my
protien, my swelling went away and I just lost another 6 lbs and I have
even more energy.
