I think thats a great idea to be pre surgery. We are all anxious before
and have lots of time wondering, 'whats it going to be like'. Also, this
will be a good time to get that adjustment out of the way - and will make
taking our meds stress free once we got home. GREAT IDEA !

Different surgeons have different routines. Four of us in our family have
now had lap RNY surgery, and our surgeon does not have his patients crush
their meds or take them in liquid form. We were taking Percocet (the size
of a large aspirin tablet) for pain the day after surgery, and were told to
resume our medications "as usual" when we returned home on the
3rd post-op day. We are 16-27 months post-op and have never experienced
any problems with tablets or capsules, and all lab values have remained
completely within normal limits so absorption must be OK. Good luck!
