Question:
Has anyone in the Aurora/Denver area that has already had wls know of any an
support groups or would like to be a mentor for someone who is still in the research stages of wls? Have an appointment with Dr. Chris Smith at end of May heard he refers to Dr.Tillquist in Englewood-anyone ever been to either of these physicians? I have soooooo many questions!!!! — Nancy K. Hi Nancy, my name is Carey (Thornton/Denver) and I am a patient of Dr.
Tillquist's. He is an awesome doctor, who has done many RNY, and is quite
skilled at his craft. He is friendly, attentive, and treats his patients,
the same before and after surgery, with care and concern. He is also very
encouraging, and has never been negative or rude in anyway. As for the
mentor that you are looking for, I am almost 10 months out LAP RNY, so that
does not qualify me as an expert, but I've lost 160 lbs with 35 -40 to go,
I work out, eat a certain way, and would be happy to answer any questions
that you have, or help you out in anyway I can, in e-mail, over the phone,
in person, whichever you choose. E-mail me

Nancy:
I live in Aurora. I used Dr. Tillquist, he is my idol. I think he is the
greatest thing that walks and all his staff that deals with the wls are
great. My girlfriend here at work is having surgery with him at the end of
this month. I don't know how much advise I could give otherwise I'm 5
months out and have lost 72 pounds. You can email me anytime. Call
anything. You'll love Dr. T. The only support group I found is off of
C470 & Broadway meets 1st friday of every month.
