Question:
Can I get a colonic?

Some friends want to go get our colons cleansed and I wanted to got o. They say you feel better, yada, yada, yada. I don't really want an opinion on colon cleansers, what I want to know is with my lap RNY, almost a year out, can I get a colon cleanser? Anyone done it? Thanks!    — Courtney W. It is always best to check with your doctor when you have questions that pertain to medical issues. However, I would think it would be ok since our small intestines is what is rerouted, not the colon..

I do them. Cleared it with my bariatric surgeon first, who thought I was nuts for asking. He didn't touch the colon, only the small intestine. As long as the hydrotherapist is a pro who knows what they're doing, closed system, lots of clean everywhere. But somehow I don't see this as a social event, exactly.....?
