Question:
I hate shakes of any kind & cottage cheese! UGH

I also hate protein shakes and cottage cheese. I am a year and i have lost 163 pounds. I have not drank one protein shake in that time. They are disgusting. Recently I found a protein bar i could handle. It is called "Advant Edge by EAS" it has 25 grams of protein , 2 carbs and has 0 sugar. I buy the cookie and cream flavor and it is okay. I just found these like a month ago and i did just fine without them but they are great for when you dont have time to eat. This is the only bar i can eat , the rest disgust me and make me gag. Someone told me this recipe for cottage cheese. Use 12 oz of cottage cheese, 1 container of coolwhip and a sugar free pudding mix, blend these in the blender til smooth, it taste great! I also add a container of yogurt to this mixture to up the protein. So a serving, 1/2 cup would give you 20 grams of protein and feels like you are eating sinful treat but you are not. If you like chocolate use the chocolate flavored pudding. hope this helps.

Just wanted to add to the previous post...you can also use the sf jello in fruit flavors with that same recipe. I'm still pre-op but this was a holiday favorite around my house since I have family members that are diabetic. You mix the cottage cheese, the sf ff cool whip, sf jello (we used orange), orange slices (no skin, just the pulp inside), some pineapple chunks, the little marshmallows, and pecans or walnuts all mixed up. I'm not sure if the marshmallows would be good for after the surgery or not, but even if you don't use the other things, this tastes great!!
