Question:
How long after WLS can you ride rollercoasters?

We are trying to plan our summer vacation which will include an amusement park. My surgery is April 10th. After RNY can you ride rollercoasters?    — debi W. (posted on April 2, 2002)

Depends on you and the type of surgery. LAPs not so long, any open procedure, longer. I wouldn't put any force on my tummy for at least 8 weeks (open DS). Good Luck to you!

I rode a rollercoaster at 5 months post op. No problems, had a great time.
