Question:
Does anyone feel rumbling all the way down their sides when drinking?
I am 10 months post op, down 114 pounds (2 pounds below goal weight) and recently have noticed when I drink fluids I can actually feel it gurgling, rumbling, or something to that effect, all the way down the left side of my stomach, almost to my hip bone. What in the world is this and does anyone else have this same experience? I don't have alot of fat there anymore and wonder if it is just more noticeable now, but at the same time wonder where the fluid is going that it so obviously is going all the way down to my hip! Anyone have a clue? My sincere appreciation for any insight you may have! — Vicki K. (posted on March 29, 2002)

I feel that feeling sometimes when I eat. It feels so weird. I thought is
was gas in my old stomach but I'm just guessing. I cant' wait to see what
other people say.

My stomach does the same thing. It can be very embarrassing when I'm in a
meeting after eating lunch and drinking my water! I was sitting in the
recliner last night and had a big glass of water and it started girgling.
My dog shot out of my lap and began digging at my stomach. I just laughed!

I am 8 mos post op and have had this for about 4 mos. Sometimes you have
it, sometimes not. I think maybe the faster it goes through the system the
more you hear the sound. Food dos not always do that to me, mainly just
fluids.
