Question:
Where do I find SF fudgesicles???
I read on my post-op diet sheet I can have SF fudgesicles. But I've looked everywhere and can only find "No Sugar Added". Is that the same? — Renee V. (posted on March 23, 2002)

Just wanted you to know that 'sugar free' and 'no sugar added' are not the
same thing. There are sugar free popsicles and if you look at the label it
will say that. For the frozen fruit bars, like the Dole ones, the box will
say 'no sugar added'. Since those are made from fruit, they do have
fructose, but there is no extra sugar added to them. You have to check the
labels of 'no sugar added' products carefully. They can be pretty high in
calories although not all of them are.

Those will be fine. The fruit bars that specify no sugar added can't say
that they're sugar free because they have sucrose...the natural sugar in
fruits. Also isn't the lactose in the fudge bars a natual milk sugar?
Hence the 'wording'.
I was so shocked to discover how truly delicious these sugar free bars and
popsicles are. Even my sugaraholic kids love them!

I found sugar free fudgesicles at almost every store around here. I am in
WI. Blue Bunny has some good ones. Sugar free and "no sugar added ARE
different! If youre diabetic, stay away from the no sugar added stuff.
Popsicle brand has good sugar free popsicles. Theyre great! Good luck!
