Question:
Has anyone had a frozen shoulder several months post-op?
I'm currently undergoing physical theraphy for a sore arm & shoulder, today the thereaphist mentioned that he felt I had adhesive capulitis, or a frozen shoulder. While looking this up on the internet, I found out that it can occur after surgery, and being 6 months post-op a VBG, I was wondering if anyone else who had any kind of WLS also had the same problem. — Sue F. Hi, no I dont have frozen shoulder but I do have a frozen back, buttocks
and left arm. Im 2 weeks out Lap RNY. MY doctor said it was because of the
postioning during surgery. Evidently, they tilt the bed forward and
backward and depending on our weight alot of weight is pulling on our
bodies, particularly the arms. He said it would work itself out. I am
having to wear a wrist splint on my hand because while it's numb there is
also pain. The back problem has caused problems with my walking. MY tummy
has never hurt, just the back, butt and hand. IF anyone has a way to speed
this recovery please let all of us know. Good luck to you and let me know
how you progress.
