Question:
What normally takes place at the 3 month post op check up w/your surgeon?
I'm actually four months but will be going this week for my first post op check up since my surgery in November '01. What should I expect to take place? thanks. — Annie H. (posted on March 3, 2002)

i think i had a different surery than yours because i was cut open from the
middle of my chest to past my navel. the same day i had a hysterectomy
because i had cancer too, but all is well. but i cant believe your just now
seeing your dotor after surgery i got my surgery in 12-20-02 and i have
seen my doctor 4 times maybe it is because im his favorite, smile but all
they do is ask you how you are wiegh you and look at you marks on your
stomach. no bad stuff . i have lost 85 pounds and feel great how about you

I had open RNY, my 3rd month check up was exam of incision and lab work,
oh, of course getting weighed on what I call a "cattle scale". He
asked how I was feeling, if I had any problems with any foods and was I
exercising. Good Luck.

I am the original poster of this question and I don't want to mis-lead
anyone into thinking this is the first time I have seen my surgeon since my
surgery. I actually saw him 3 weeks after the surgery and this will be my
3-month check up, which, because of scheduling, is actually like 4 months.
