Question:
What can I do to come up with the deposit?

Ive been thru so much and was almost there Ive gone thru all the mths of being approved by my insurance. I know you all know what thats like. Ive been thru all the pre opt testing. Having a set back because of my liver. And finally it was getting close Feb. 19.. and now comes all these doctors wanting deposits all at once(ive only been told this just in the past 3 days). Something i had not counted on. $1200 total. My insurance will pay after a 500 deductable which ive already paid out. Has any one else had this problem and like me having a hard time coming up with that much money? Is there anything i can say to these doctors? I felt like i was so close and now i feel its unreachable. I have no family to borrow from so thats out. Im posting anonymously cause im embarressed of having this problem.    — [Anonymous] (posted on February 9, 2002)

Do NOT pay these pre-op deposits. Call your insurance company and let them know what's going on. If your insurance company is paying, and the doctors/hospital are in network, they generaly don't have the right to ask for upfront money. But don't call the doctors or hospital, call the insurance company. If the doctors or hospital are not allowed to ask for the money up front because of the agreements they have with your insurance, the insurance company should talk to them and straighten them out.

My doctor and hospital were out of network (out of state) and I had to put $2,000 down I'll get it back if my insurance pays all which I doubt. I put it on a charge card not the best solution but it is a solution.

hi, if the situation doenst work out with your insurence company, paying the deposits, email me. My insurence ,if approved, will pay 80%, so the other 20 is mine, probaly about 5,000.00.I am taking out a loan with a company that specializes in elective surgerys, the interest ranges from 9 to 13 percent, depending on how long you want to pay back the loan,,,good luck.

Will your insurance pay 100%? Or, do you have an HMO or PPO through which you are using network doctors and hospital? If the answer to either of the above is YES, your surgeon nor any other provider of care (anesthesiologist, radiologist, etc) may not request deposits from you in excess of policy copays. Check with your insurance plan and have the plan call your providers.

I know you said you could come up with the money, but I want to make sure you realize you do NOT have to make any payments or deposits up front. Do make sure you call your insurance company BEFORE you pay anything. If the doctor or hospital is allowed to ask for the money upfront, your insurance can tell you that. If they are not, they will call the doctor or hospital. You will not have to confront anyone at your doctor's office. Please email me privately if you wish. You can tell I feel very strongly about this.

Hi I was having trouble getting the money to pay for my plastic surgery and was searching and searching and wasting money on programs when I came across the one I used. I had the money to pay for my surgery within 30 days and all it cost me was 11.50 to get started. Heres the address. http://www.business.visitorbuilder.com/?refer=12546890R6733952S
