Question:
Has anyone ever had WLS with BC/BS of Illinois-PPO that is through Wal-mart?

My insurance is through my husband's employer - wal-mart. There is an exclusion written in the handbook, but I wondered if anyone ever challenged it and won...who knows, right?    — Jennifer C. (posted on January 26, 2002)

My mom works for wal-mart..and she has 2 co-workers who have been approved for the surgery. Both of them went thru alot of fighting but they were both approved..One of them is having her surgery tomorrow..So yes it is worth looking into because Wal-mart does pay for it.
