Question:
What IS the cottage cheese test?
Is it testing to see how much cottage cheese your new pouch can hold every month of your journey to see if you are stretching your pouch too much? Please explain. Thanks — Annie H. (posted on January 26, 2002)

It is a test used by some physicians to determine the size of the pouch.
Supposedly you measure a specific amount of cottage cheese, bolt down as
much as you can as fast as you can until you cannot stand another bite.
Then you figure the amount you were able to consume by subtracting the
amount left from the amount you started with. I am no expert on this
subject, I only know from what I have read on this board. You probably can
get more info. if you go to the library on this site and search 'cottage
cheese test'. I bet you will get some results because I have seen it on
here before. I hope this helps.

Go to the library and type this into the search. You will get a lot of
information about this frequently asked question. You will also find the
testing procedure. good luck.
