Question:
7 weeks post op abdominal area swollen and hurts bad.

Since Wednesday afternoon my whole stomach area hurts. I didn't eat all afternoon because I was gone so I know it wasn't anything I ate. It goes all the way down to the pubic area and up almost to breast bone. I do have my monthly appointment with my surgeon on Friday, but he's 4 hours away otherwise I would have just gone in and talked to him. Any ideas or things that have happened to you would be greatly appreciated. I had lap surgery, still have my gallbladder, 41 lbs down, and no complications so far.    — alicialeew (posted on November 29, 2001)

It does sound like it could be your gallbladder. I know that gall stone pain radiates throughout the stomach.

On things like this with a lot of pain its ALWAYS best to call your doctor ASAP. Better safe than sorry.
