Question:
Anyone know of Support Groups in Dallas/Ft. Worth Area?

I just moved to Euless, Texas and would like to continue going to a support group. Does anyone know of a good one around? I would like one that is sponsored by a surgeone or bariatric doctor so that I can find one in this area.    — Lori W. (posted on November 20, 2001)

Yes. There is a support group called Dallasites. You can get to their message board by visiting Yahoo.com and finding groups. Search for weight loss surgery.

I belong to a yahoo group called Dallasites. It is an e-mail support group and we often times get together and meet. Plus there we also post local doctor support group meetings. I know Dr. Provost, Dr. Veniga, Dr. Alexander, Dr. Barzune and Dr. Horrilleno have support group meetings in Dallas. You can check each doctor out personally if you like. TexasWLS is an Online Support Group for Weight Loss Surgery patients in the North Texas area. Our main focus is on supporting each other through our WLS journeys. We gladly accept all WLS patients!
