Best thing I did was be a angel pre op

Hopefully this will help others. I voluntered to be a angel for a person having surgery one week before me, with my surgeon and hospital.. This helped so much, getting the details on just what surgery was like, talking to her after surgery, and hearing Peg improve quickly and sound stronger in the days after her surgery. Before I knew it it was my turn. I should of visited ger in the hospital, but wimped out for fear it would frighten me. We are now friends and see each other at support group meetings and talk on the phone now and then. This helped me SO much I recommend everyone do this.    — bob-haller (posted on November 18, 2001)
