Question:
Does your breast size change alot?

I have had large breast and I am wondering if you had loss in size or firmness with this weight loss.    — [Anonymous] (posted on October 21, 2001)

I've gone from a full D cup that was sagging from breasfeeding 2 kids to a pitiful A cup. I look pretty much flat chested. I was happy when I was a B cup, but this is sad. I'm saving for those jelly type bra stuffers to help me because I can't afford implants. It's all skin there now....it didn't go nice. Much luck to you as some people don't lose their breasts.

I started out as a 44 DD, and am now at a 34 C/D. However, I have to joke that the cup size is due to the skin just getting rolled up and stuffed in! I lost quite a bit of breast tissue, but kept all my stretched out skin. Really not a pretty sight, but to be honest, I am so happy about the "34" part that I don't complain much! -Kate-

I'm still waiting to go down in cup size. I was a 42DD and now I'm 38DD. I'd like to be 34B or C, but I can tell right now that I'm also going to be rolling & stuffing.

I am five weeks post-op and already down 6" in the bust. Unlike most people though, I am still breastfeeding my 21 month old. Don't know if that will make any difference in the eventual size and shape... might end up with "rock in a sock" syndrome, but so far, I haven't noticed anything catastrophic. Frankly, to get to 150 lbs or anything approaching a normal weight, I would take a pretty unattractive result breast-wise. As long as they still work when I have more children, I will get the cosmetic situation fixed when I hit 40 or am totally done breastfeeding, whichever happens first. :-) Good luck.

I am 3 months pot op and down 65 pounds, I was a 46DD and now a 42DD. I wish I was a C, but even when I was 180 I was a D-cup. I think that FAT will go away, but breast tissue is here to stay.

All the women in my family tend to be top heavy. Prior to my wls I was a 48DDD and I worried that I wouldn't lose my boobs. Well i certainly lost a lot from that area....I'm a 38D after losing 110lbs. The thing is most of my weight loss was in the chest and tummy and thighs. I havebn't lost much at all from my butt! I suppose when I get to my goal (...in another 30lbs.) I could have some lipo...but I don't think I'll bother....I can think of other things to do with my $$$. As for the firmness...they are reasonably firm and they didn't droop they way I had feared. And I'm in my late forties.

I've lost 100 lbs and mine went from 48DDD to 44DD. The firmness hasn't changed at all. I think they are here to stay.

I have gone from a 42DD to a 38B with my weightloss, and I couldn't be happier. My husband, on the other hand, is somewhat dissapointed. Oh well, good thing I did this for me!

I went from a 44C to a 38B and that's only because I need the room to stuff the skin in there. I told my pcp I was considering plastic surgery and he laughingly replied that the average bust size after this surgery is a 36 long. The radiologist certainly noticed the difference during my recent mamograms (yes more than one - they found an abnormality and I have to undergo a biopsy).

One month after surgery I was shopping for new bras---I went from a barely filling out a 42C to a comfortable 42B! I worried that I'll be shrinking to an A cup, but not before I hit that 36 or 38. Unlike most large size ladies, I wasn't big to begin with----hitting a C was my all time high, even when pregnant. After getting the new bras, I told my hubby that for my birthday or anniversary I'm expecting implants!
