Question:
Are there any GOOD support groups in the Sacramento-Placerville area?
I have attended a Support Group at UCD and found it to be very disorganized. It was difficult to find out accurate information as to where and when the group would meet-no speaker-very small group. I know how important support is to someone who has gone through the surgery. I am willing to organize such a group for those living in the foothills east of Sacramento. If anyone is interested, please let me know. — Wanda W. (posted on October 10, 2001)

Our group meets the second Saturday of each month at Sutter Roseville
Hospital. We usually have a guest speaker, an agenda to follow, and
typically very organized. There are over 100 people who attend. Most of
us are patients of the SALSA docs (Sacramento Advanced Laparoscopic
Surgical Associates) although we have people from other doctors/hospitals,
etc from Kaiser, UCD, and Fresno docs. You are more than welcome to join
us. Our next meeting is this Saturday at 3:00 p.m., 2nd floor of the
hospital. Just follow the pink SALSA signs. For more info, you can e-mail
me privately. Terri in Sacramento, CA
