Question:
Since we have to eat slower, does anyone have any ideas how to keep the food hot?

Lisa, I got a kids food tray (baby kid that is) that you put HOT water in
the bottom of to keep the food warm. It works great if I just water that is
just under boiling. Another option is to get one of those coffee warmer
trays *the kind that you sit a coffee mug on) and place your plate on it.
(you would probably have to use a small plate as well.

I use my microwave more now than I ever have. It only takes
about 15 seconds to rewarm most thing.

i too, thought of the baby food warmer. but i am going to look for the
electric one. i used the water one for my oldest boy & an electric one
for my daughter because she was a much slower eater than he had been &
it not only kept the food warm longer but one of the sections (the long
dish, not the round) was warmer than the other two. i used this section for
the 'main course'. by the way, my surgeon suggested that we might want to
use an infant spoon & fork as they r both very small & will hold
just the right amount of a pouchful for us 'losers'. the toddler utensils r
good but u will need to put less food on them.

I bought one of those "coffee cup" warmers at Walmart. Works
really well with a small glass plate or bowl!!

I just am getting used to it. When I need something warm I have coffee,
sugar free cocoa, soup, whatever is working at the time.
