Question:
My claim was denied because it is not in my insurance plan. What do I do?

I have Principal Health Insurance and I was told my claim is denied because my plan does not cover this kind of surgery ( obesity or morbid obesity surgery ). I was not denied because I do not qualifie such a surgery but because it is just not in my plan. What should I do??? Please help.    — Kerstin E. (posted on July 9, 2001)

1st thing I would do is call my HR department and ask that they please check into it. If you work for a big company they may just go ahead and cut threw all the red tape for you. Wish you the best of luck.
