Hang in there. You never know what the future will bring. I know how you feel. 3 years ago I felt the same way. Just want you to know there are people out there who are there too. My insurance won't cover it either. I don't want to leave my job. I've been there over 8 years and it's a good job. If you need to talk feel free to email me.

If you're morbidly obese and unemployed, wouldn't you qualify for Medicaid? Check it out, if you haven't done so already. Medicaid generally pays for this surgery when it is considered medically necessary. Good luck.

Please don't give up,check with you state department of health division and apply for Medicaid or Medicare, they do cover this surgery if it's medically necessary, and Pray, Pray, Pray, if it's ment for you then God will make it happen. God Bless You

Since you are unemployed and feel it is directly related to your weight, I would contact your local vocational rehabilitation center. This is supported by your county system. These people are interested in getting you back to work. I understand that they have helped others in your situation of unemployment. It would be worth checking out. If there is a listing, call your local social services department for help.
