Marion: My entire 100# weight loss has happened similarly -- losing weight,
plateauing for 3 to 4 weeks, losing again, plateauing. Don't worry, your
body is catching up and the skin is shrinking. Take your measurements so
you will see you are still losing even though your body is trying
desperately to hang on to the weight, thinking you are starving it to
death. The weight will drop, just work the program. Best wishes.

Marion, I had my open RNY on 12/4/00. I went to my surgeon for a check up
on Friday, and mentioned to him that I've plateaued for about 3 weeks now.
He said that's very normal, and to just stay away from the scale for awhile
and continue to make sure I get in my protein, water, vitamins, and daily
walks. He was right---this morning I got up and lost 3 lbs! If you feel
that you're doing everything right, then just step away from the scale and
don't wig out about it. It will come in time. Good luck and hang tough!!

STAY OFF THE SCALES....
I also platue for 3 weeks at a time
but I am down 55 lbs in 3 months ..and thats not to shabby
seems everytime i lose a little I platue for a couple three weeks
and near my period I even gain back 4-5 lbs and then slowly drop that
during
that week and drop another couple after ...who knows its strange
so stay off that scale is the best advice anyone can give you
weigh once a month
