Question:
Anyone familiar with Aetna in KS ?

I am in the process of getting Aetna in the state of KS. They tell me that HMO is the main one they offer or I can get PPO and pay 15% more. I am concerned whether there will be any problems with one over the other and would like to know if anyone has Aetna in The KS area? There are no Dr's in my area on the KS side that do this surgery and I may have to travel to Mo to do this so I was also wondering if my Dr refers me to the Mo side will it still be considered in network as long as the surgeon is in the network? Also, I was told that if I have this surgery then it is possible my rates will quadruple next year! Has anyone experienced any of this?    — melanie70 (posted on May 23, 2000)
